What Documents We Apostille in Seychelles

The Apostille Order Service Seychelles covers every document category that requires legal recognition abroad. We process requests for individuals, companies, law firms, and government agencies across Europe, the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East.

The most common document types we handle:

  • Business documents. Powers of attorney, board resolutions, commercial contracts, certificates of incumbency, articles of association, and corporate authorisation letters.
  • Personal legal documents. Criminal record checks, court orders, divorce decrees, guardianship documents, affidavits, and sworn statements.
  • Education & qualifications. University degrees, professional licences, academic transcripts, and trade certificates. Some educational documents require SQA certification before the Apostille can be issued.
  • Medical documents. Medical certificates and hospital records typically require SQA certification, notarisation, and Ministry of Foreign Affairs countersignature in addition to the Apostille.
  • Administrative documents. Certified passport copies, national ID copies, residence certificates, and citizenship documents.
  • Employment & HR. Reference letters, employment contracts, secondment certificates (A1), and background check reports.

If your document type is not in the configurator, select “Other” and describe it in the notes field. We review every request and confirm the process and price before starting.

How the Apostille Order Service in Seychelles Works

No visit to Seychelles required. No courier of original documents needed for most requests. The process runs entirely by email unless your document specifically requires the physical original on-site.

Step 1. Configure your Apostille order

Use the configurator above. Select your document category, the specific document type, and any additional services you need. The total calculates in real time. For most standard documents, notarisation by a Seychelles notary plus the Apostille from the Supreme Court covers everything.

Step 2. Send us your document by email

After checkout, email your signed PDF to welcome@apostille.sc. For powers of attorney you can paste the full text directly into the order form and we prepare the document. If the physical original is required, we confirm this after reviewing your order.

Step 3. Notarisation by a Seychelles notary

A registered Seychelles notary stamps and signs the document. This takes 1 to 2 business days and is required for most documents before the Supreme Court of Seychelles will issue an Apostille. FSA company documents and civil status certificates from the Civil Status Office are exempt from this step.

Step 4. Apostille by the Supreme Court of Seychelles

The Apostille is issued by the Supreme Court of Seychelles, the designated authority under the Hague Apostille Convention. Processing takes 1 to 3 business days.

Step 5. Delivery

We scan the apostilled document and email the PDF. If you selected DHL Express, we ship the original worldwide at a flat rate of 99 EUR. Delivery takes 5 to 7 business days from dispatch.

Real-World Scenarios

These four cases reflect the types of requests we handle daily. Prices are based on real orders. Names and identifying details have been changed.

Scenario 1 — Power of Attorney for a European bank

A Seychelles IBC shareholder living in Germany needed to grant a trusted representative the authority to operate a corporate bank account in Liechtenstein. The bank required a notarised and apostilled Power of Attorney from Seychelles.

The client sent the POA text by email. A Seychelles notary prepared the document with official stamp and signature. The Supreme Court issued the Apostille the following day. Total turnaround: 3 business days. The apostilled original was shipped via DHL to Liechtenstein.
Cost Apostille order service: 99 EUR (notary + Apostille) + 99 EUR DHL = 198 EUR

Scenario 2 — Criminal Record Check for a work permit in the UAE

A Seychellois professional applying for a work permit in Dubai needed a criminal record check from Seychelles, notarised and apostilled. The UAE is a member of the Hague Convention, so no embassy attestation was required.

The client obtained the criminal record check and emailed us a scan. A Seychelles notary certified the copy. The Supreme Court issued the Apostille. The PDF was delivered by email within 4 business days.
Cost Apostille order service: 99 EUR (notary + Apostille)

Scenario 3 — Medical diploma for professional registration in Russia

A doctor who graduated from a Seychelles medical institution needed their diploma apostilled and attested by the Russian Embassy in Seychelles for registration with a medical authority in Moscow.

The original diploma was couriered to us in Victoria. The SQA certified a copy. A Seychelles notary notarised the copy and issued a Certificate of Authentication. Both documents received Apostilles from the Supreme Court in a single visit. The Certificate of Authentication was countersigned by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Russian Embassy attested both documents. All originals were returned via DHL
Cost Apostille order service: 99 EUR SQA + 79 EUR notary + 79 EUR Apostille + 149 EUR MFA + 149 EUR Embassy + 99 EUR DHL = 654 EUR

Scenario 4 — Affidavit of single status for a marriage in Switzerland

A Seychellois national getting married in Switzerland needed an affidavit of single status sworn before a notary and apostilled. Switzerland is a member of the Hague Convention.

We prepared the affidavit in the required format. A Seychelles notary administered the oath and signed the document. The Supreme Court issued the Apostille. The PDF arrived by email in 3 business days.
Cost Apostille order service: 99 EUR (notary + Apostille)

Scenario 5 — Marriage Certificate + Apostille for a Seychelles wedding

A couple who had married on Praslin years earlier needed an official apostilled Marriage Certificate to submit to a German registry office. Their original certificate had been lost during a move. They had no document to send us.

We obtained a fresh original Marriage Certificate directly from the Civil Status Office of Seychelles. No courier, no copy needed from the couple. We then submitted the original to the Supreme Court of Seychelles for the Apostille. After the Apostille was attached, we scanned the document and delivered the PDF by email. Germany is a member of the Hague Convention, so no embassy attestation was required.

To issue the certificate, we needed: the full names of both spouses, the date of the wedding, and the island where the ceremony took place. The couple provided these by email after checkout.
Cost Apostille order service: 99 EUR (Civil Status Office + Apostille). DHL hard copy +99 EUR.
Embassy attestation for non-Hague countries +149 EUR.

Hague Convention or Embassy Attestation

Seychelles joined the Hague Apostille Convention in 1978. A Seychelles Apostille is therefore accepted in all 120+ member states without further legalisation. If your destination country is a Hague member, no embassy step is needed.

For countries outside the Hague Convention, the document must be attested by the embassy or consulate of the destination country in Seychelles. We work directly with all 42 embassies and diplomatic missions in Victoria on Mahé. Embassy attestation costs 149 EUR per embassy.

Not sure whether your destination is a Hague member? Check the full list on the HCCH website. The configurator will prompt you to select the right option automatically.

Apostille Order — Frequently Asked Questions

How long does the apostille process take?

For most standard documents: notarisation takes 1 to 2 business days, and the Apostille from the Supreme Court takes 1 to 3 business days. Total: 3 to 6 business days from the day we receive your document. Complex cases involving SQA, MFA, or embassy attestation take longer. We confirm a specific timeline when we review the order.

Do you need the original document?

For most documents, no. A signed PDF sent by email is sufficient. The Seychelles notary creates the legal original from the PDF. Exceptions are medical and educational certificates that require SQA certification. We confirm the requirement when you place the order.

Can I order an apostille for a document issued in another country?

Only documents issued or notarised in Seychelles can receive a Seychelles Apostille. Documents issued abroad first need to be notarised by a Seychelles notary. Contact us before ordering if you are unsure whether your document qualifies.

Is a PDF apostille legally valid?

The PDF we send is a scan of the original apostilled document. Whether a PDF copy is accepted depends on the receiving institution. Many banks and government offices accept PDF copies. Others require the original. If in doubt, select DHL Express delivery to receive the original document.

My document is in a foreign language. Does that matter?

The Seychelles notary can notarise documents in English, French, and Creole. For other languages, a certified translation may be required. We confirm whether a translation is needed when we review the order.

Can you handle urgent orders?

In many cases, yes. Urgent processing depends on notary and court availability. Contact us via WhatsApp before placing the order to confirm whether your timeline is feasible.

What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, American Express, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA bank transfer, and Bitcoin. Payment is processed securely at checkout.

What if I ordered the wrong services?

Contact us immediately after placing the order. As long as processing has not started, we can adjust the order. Reach us at welcome@apostille.sc or via WhatsApp.
